My Action for Children website launched

We are delighted to announce the launch of My Action for Children: a breakthrough website in the UK’s charity sector.

The site – the first of its kind from a UK children’s charity – offers people the chance to decide what, who and where they support.

There are approximately 450 Action for Children projects across the UK. Each project can request the specific items and resources they need and post these on the site. The items are then identified by location, area of work, (child) age group and type. By searching against these criteria, site visitors can donate to the specific projects that mean most to them.

The entire project has been extremely collaborative and 9web worked closely with Open Fundraising (creative and copy), Baigent (payment processing), Agenda21 (SEO strategy) and - of course - Action for Children, to deliver on time and budget.

Launched on the 9th February, the site has already been very well received within the sector; was featured in the Times, Telegraph and Independent; and even boasts the ultimate web accolade: a tweet from Stephen Fry!

Darren says:

I'm hugely proud of the effort from the 9web team to deliver this project in such a short space of time – everyone has gone above and beyond to build a fantastic website. It’s also been a huge privilege to work with our peer organizations to meet a common goal – everyone involved has worked extremely hard to make My Action for Children happen.
